St Mary’s Church in Honley is raiding £80,000 to restore their historic Huddersfield made Conacher organ. The fundraising team have already raised £60,000 and the ‘final Push’ for the remaining £20,000 begins with an Evening at Dixon and Franks at The Old Corn Mill in Honley on Thursday the 14th of November. Yet again Honley Business Association are organising the Christmas Light Switch on in Honley. This has grown year on year to be a fabulous event for the whole community. A fun afternoon of Christmas shopping dedicated to having a drink and bringing the community together to do some fundraising for local worthy causes. The event will include a bar, gift stalls, gift wrapping station, tombola, raffle and pass the parcel to raise some money for Holme Valley food bank. (non perishable food donations welcome at the event), meltham wildlife rescue and LG Silver Surfers. This lovely afternoon will be at Stamps at the postcard inn.

Holmfirth High School 2021 Expedition Students are holding a Winter Fair at Holmfirth Methodist Church. 2pm until 6pm on Saturday 23rd November 2019. 20 Stalls selling Christmas gifts, cards and decorations, cakes, sweets, preserves, plants and planters, jewellery and other crafts. There will be children's crafts and games too as well as hot refreshments to keep the cold away. Please come and support these young fundraisers.
Christmas event to mark the start of the festive season in Holmfirth.
Nature tots will take place the last Friday of every month. We encourage creative play and weather permitting will do many of our pre-school activities outside. We aim to incorporate nature and wildlife elements into toddler play. It's also a great opportunity to meet new parents and have a good catch up with tea or coffee.
